If it was up to me, NASCAR should tell Teresa to pack up and leave. She has never or ever will contribute anything to auto racing. This is a family business that she has really no part of. If I was Dale, I would take her greedy, no good for nothing, gold digging ass to court. I would find a way to have my fathers business back in the family name. JM.02, Bailey.

In reality it doesn't have much of a significance. JR, and his step mother have been in talks for some time about this issue. He feels that he is not getting what he wants in relation to "just being able to race" and he has been put in the politics of the company, and he really doesn't want that. He feels that he will be a better driver all around if he leaves, so maybe it does have some significance to it,,,,,not sure.

It's really useless. Anyone's gonna take him, so it's not like it matters. He's still gonna race in a month. Just someone else is going to be making money off of him.

You make a very strong point, but you have to remember that Teresa had a major influence in Dale Sr. decision to start DEI!!!
How much is anyones guess, and what part she took before his death is also anyones guess.
