my friend and I use puta and whey and all sorts of Mexican curse words to call eachother in the hallways. It's good times. Nobody ever cares and our school is 75% Mexican

if they want to fix it, personally, i feel it would all go away if we weren't so dumb and used these words, (no offense to those who use them, it's just my opinion)
i'm white, and not really offended by anything, but if we went just by colors, how could anyone see a problem?
white, black, yellow, red, anything else i'm missing? or just by race, how can you be offended by what you truly are? unless you are totally insecure...

What is socially acceptable is determined by who's company you keep.
It's always been this way, least up until the industrial age. With our
booming industies came leisure travel and better communications, where your average person could experience other cultures (or sub-cultures) they would not normally interact with or become exposed to. This had two base affects on people, they either became biggoted or sympathetic with
said culture.

The ones who became overly sympathetic are the ones we now call PC Hounds, the ones that distrusted, misunderstood or were somehow threatened by the other culture are what we call racists.

I'm not offended by any words. They are just words. It's the intent behind them that causes them to be used as a weapon of hate. Can a white person be a racist against another white person? Yep, they sure can. Same thing with any other race. I call my wife a term of endearment, but I choose a word that describes my feelings for her in the best possible light. I don't use a word that has a modern meaning for racial hate, and find it somewhat disconcerting that my own kids are learning these words in school, to be used as a 'cool' and friendly word to call each other.
"It's ok dad, we mean it in a best-friend kind of way..." I don't buy it.
Pick another word that's meaning is steeped in friendship, love or fondness, don't pick a word of hate.

Call me anything you want, but don't teach my kids that crap :)
