Well when I posted this thread there was 1,400 threads, now it seems that there is only 1,393 threads!!! What, there were 7 complete threads deleted????:doh:

I'm sure they were useless threads anyway. Were capper to do away with all useless threads then my post count would drop to about 3.

I clean up a couple forums on a regular basis...the Forum Bugs, so I can stay on top of issues people are seeing.....and the Tech Talk and Gaming Forums, as the news feeder picks up some useless feeds that have nothing to do with our site

Capper, I saw this quote & another that I can't find right now that mentioned the site is for members with different levels of experience, from n00bs to advanced. Where n00bs can come and post without being flamed or ridiculed. This was last week and I was pretty inspired by it. With all of the new people coming over, maybe making it an announcement with a few of the rules - like the most important ones, for people doing a quick join? Something like:

HL was started to be a place where anyone and everyone should feel welcome, no matter what their computer experience. Members can post without getting flamed. People can get help without the "know it all" attitude or rudeness seen on a lot of forums, and a place to have fun and help people.

Please familiarize yourself with the forum rules, the most important being:
No Flaming, spamming, offsite linking, offensive language or content

Please remember that HL is a fairly new site; and we need your help to ensure that our growth is not stunted.
