Yes. Of course. But if you look up, you'll see who is immature.

Ok I emptied gunpowder from shotgun shells and poured them into a empty co2 cartridge then put a fuse in it surrounded by clay then put the fuse into a book of matches with a lit cigarette as a timer closed in the matchbook, I then sent it up in a helium balloon at night. It was awesome but it was a stupid thing to do but hey I was 12.

I remember reading something on the internet on how to do that. It sounded like a pretty cool thing to do.

Dangerous though since it's basically a mini hand grenade.

I tried something like that, but it wouldn't blow. Kept trying and trying, but still nada. Modern gunpowder isn't gunpowder, it is cordite and doesn't go "boom" as easily as blackpowder.

How'd you get yours to go boom?

A friend of mine supplied the gunpowder, he said it was from shotgun shells. We did this as a joint effort. :D This was in 1964 so maybe the powder was different then.

HAHA, my brother and I did something very similar to that. Except we didn't use a cigarette as a timer, just a longer fuse chord!

We dug a long, narrow hole in a neighbor's vegetable garden and put the CO2 cartridge at the bottom with the fuse running up and out of the hole to ground level. Then we lit the fuse and ran like hell. The thing was loud as hell and blew up a big crater in the garden. We were so scared when that thing went off!

For ours, we drilled out the hole in the top of the canister bigger, packed it as full as we could get it with gunpowder with the fuse in there, then hot glued the fuse and the hole.
