I heard it has totally sucked now that they shut it down to the public, leaving it to the vendors and media and insiders... would it be too early to call dibs on the Antec 1200? CES has never been a public event. This is my 5th year, and by far the worst show I've seen. I think some of it can be chalked up to INTEL and AMD having already made their big announcements, and a generally slow hardware period. Another major factor is an issue I raised last year.....that the asshole running Vegas (yeah, I'm talking to you Oscar Goodman and you scumbag casino owners) are a bunch of greedy bastards......they have made this an awful experience for the people coming here....from making transportation a laughing stock, to making reservations a nightmare, to bumping the room rates in excess of 5x what they typically are. I foresee either people running this city getting smart (NOT), or CES dying out like Comdex within 2 years. BTW, we will have a round up article tonight or tomorrow, but I came down with a horrendous case of food poisoning last night (friggin pork ribs) and am headed out to the clinic.......as Paul laughs at me and eats his IN & Out Burger. I will also edit a lot of video this weekend and post it for you all to see this weekend (hopefully), I have a couple hours of video, covering some pretty neat stuff...like a great look at the 1200 INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU | |
