Default Example of why not to beleive Newegg reviews

I've highlighted the interesting portions of the customer feeback for the purchase of a Q6600 with B3 stepping:

Pros: I got my q6600 yesterday and when i opened the package, much to my dismay, I saw what i had hoped not to see: SL9UM on the side of the box. I had a chat session with customer support and spoke with *Gilbert* and he put the RMA in with the intent to get me G0. I wouldn't have bothered posting this yet had i not seen the other reviews that said Newegg is probably only shipping G0 Q6600, but i have found this is not the case.

Cons: The only consumers who should be focused on the G0 or the B3 are nerds like myself, who absolutely have to have the ability to overclock. If you have no desire to overclock the Q6600, then the b3 stepping will be more than just fine.

Other Thoughts: For any one not familiar with this little specification - SL9UM means B3 and SLACR means G0. G0 operates at a 1333MHz FSB vs. the 1066 MHz on the B3. All this means is that the SLACR will run cooler (because it consumes less power) than the SL9UM and it should not even be an issue for 80% of the PC users out there.
Huh? 1333Mhz FSB on a Q6600 with G0 stepping? And it runs cooler because of this? Is this guy on crack? For a proclaimed nerd, this guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. The fact of the matter is that someone will read that, decide on a G0 stepped Q6600 because it runs at 1333Mhz FSB. Then, upon receiving their proc, realize that it's really a 1066Mhz FSB get mad and blast the product and/or Newegg on its website.

This is an important lesson for those just starting out with building your own rigs: be wary of what you read when it comes to customer comments on sites like Newegg. Do your research at reputable review sites; don't wholly depend on places like Newegg for your information.

From the Evga 8800 GTS 640 front page

Great Graphics Power

Pros: Very fast and powerful card. Is running all of my games at max with no issues. In fact, I ran three of my games at max at the same time with no issues. (F.E.A.R., Warcraft III, and Warhammer 40K: Dark Crusade)
Cons:
Very big card and uses some power. Has not really hit any problems with heat yet, but haven't really pushed it. Starcraft II will probably change that.
Other Thoughts:
Rig: Asus L1N64-SLI WS Dual Socket L (Socket 1207FX) NVIDIA nForce 680a MOBO, Twin FX-70's, 1GB of Corsair Dominator PC2-6400, Raptor 150 GB, and this card.

Newegg reviews are for laughs only, only seriously consider them when the product your looking at has a low rating and the people posting keep listing the same problem.

I think his point was he had three different games running simultaneously.

- Core 2 Quad Q6600
- DFI Infinity 975X
- 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800
- 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM
- ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB
- Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W
- Acer 19" P191W Monitor
- Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution
- Vista Ultimate x64

Anyhow, seems a complete lie. (Which is the point of this thread, I believe)

Well, I'm not doubting the possibility of opening them. But having all of them running a demo, for example...
