Default Re: Best spam email I got in a while

The more you give out your email online to websites, the more spammers can find it and send you more spam... do a google search for your email address, see how many places it shows up... if it is more then 2-3 places then you are on multiple spammers lists. I actually reduced the amount of spam I get at yahoo because I searched for my email and removed it from places where it was publicly available.
Once you are on a spammers "verified" list, it can take 30-60 days for your email address to be sold to other spammers and on their lists... then they sell it to others within another 30-60 days... and they're off to the races, to see how much spam they can clog your mailbox with. This is why I get zero spam at my ISP email (Cox) that has been active for 7 years now (or they have an awesome spam filter), zero spam emails at my personal email at work which has been active for over 2 years (because I know we have an awesome spam filter AND I do not release it on the internet)... 3-4 spam emails daily at gmail, and 200-400 per day at yahoo.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I use Outlook for most of my accounts, and Outlook Express for the rest. Outlook gets most of the spam, since it's been trained, and Express's accounts barely gets any spam as it is (1-2 per day).

That's the first spam that got to my inbox in a while. The rest is all in the spam folder. *shrugs*

time to learn the greatness that is Thunderbird... built in spam protection, easy to make rules, and it even shows "Thunderbird thinks this is spam" and learns from your input. I can't stand the MS offerings in any form anymore whether it is MSO, OE or hotmail/live
