Lol, yeah, maybe their stock will take a hit after this... Maybe CC will bump up and then I can get like a giant raise...

As for the certification/training, yes, you don't need any training at Geek Squad or Firedog. You'd have to be an idiot to apply for the job though without knowing your shit because you're expected to know. You do get training/certification through the job though.

I've had good experiences with bb, but that's because I avoid the geek squad, and the people at my store don't seem to double check prices online with their instore computers. I walked in, and wanted a zen vision m (mp3 player), that was on sale online, and I think it was online only, even, and when I told the person about the price difference, they just rang up the cheaper price. And I enjoy the clearances they have at my local bestbuy... but I guess it might help that I know alot of the people who work there.

I do feel like I'm one of the lucky ones, but best buy is all we have out here in rapid city, south dakota, unless you order online (which is how i go, unless there's a good sale).

And slightly more on topic, if I remember right, the only reason she's sueing for that much was to get the media attention. I dont think she expects much more than legal fees + small sum of money.

Most grossly inflated lawsuits are in hopes of an out of court settlement.

Saw this gal on the Today Show yesterday (Friday) morning. I'll tell you, she is really ticked and is out to punish Best Buy and make an example out of them.

Found it interesting that, according to Campbell, in order make themselves look like the good guy trying to make things right, Best Buy went so far as to electronically transfer funds into her checking account after she had rejected their $1000 settlement offer.

Nail them good, honey; bring them to their knees!

They transfered the funds to her credit card not her checking account. She didn't even know they did it for quite awhile.

I like going to best buy and correcting the sales people when they are talking to customers. I don't do it often, and only when they are totally off base.
