Damnit, for a fleeting moment I thought "Shooting Live Pigs" was a reference to shooting one of my ex wives to make the world a better place to live. I am so dissapointed.

I had a similar experience when I read an article about how when US Navy submarines go active with their sonar it is harmful to whales in the area. I had these visions of an ex as a beached whale with her navaids screwed. Then I discovered it was real whales. That sucked too! Damnit!

OK, lets believe that the carcasses will be donated to a homeless shelter and some poor destitute people will get to enjoy roast pork for dinner.

well not everyone has that training, all i got is a crappy CLS training that i already know from Nursing school. but well, i found out most of my buddies had a very difficult times during that course.

well i rather training in a dying pig than doing it with no exp at all in real messy scenario at Iraq... PETA we could replace the pigs with members of PETA but i highly doubt those wuss will volunteer...

I agree with what Dread said... except I think we should change something in his plan.....

Take out the Pigs, and replace them with PETA members! That way its even more anatomically correct, just without the soul or morality.

doing simulators wont give much but it will give an insight on what to expect... and smell of distinct burning human flesh and rotting human parts on a still living person is something that once you smelled it it will stick to your nose for lifetime. although i didnt exp it in battledfield. i had first hand exp with my volunteer job as e.r. nurse back home in Philippines where medical technology is only available to the city hospital... up to now i still know that smell...

Though I'd certainly have to second your unintended suggestion, I merely made a comparison between a people's disinclination to shoot pigs and a people's disinclination for a victim to shoot their attacker. But if that was already obvious, ARM THE PIGS!

that may be another worthy "field trip"... find a student hospital and have then observe in the ER section by the bad side of a major city
