Don't let them plug you in as enlisted. With a Nursing degree and experience, you need to be going right into the Officer ranks. Lots more money there.

What made you choose the army? There's a lot of different services out there, so what drew you to that particular branch? Also, recruiters will promise you everything under the sun in order to get you to sign up. If they make any "deals" with you, ensure that you get everything in writing. Once you get the chance to enroll in the MGIB, seriously consider doing it. $40,000+ for college is not chump change by any means.

With a Bachelors degree I am pretty sure you can go in as an E-4. I know there are some requirements you have to meet first and that may be why they are evaluating your degree. Also if you have any outstanding school loans make sure and ask about the loan repayment program.

There are only 5 installations that have Army Basic Training.
Ft Leonard Wood, MO
Ft Jackson, SC.
Ft Knox, KY
Ft Sill, OK (Which is where I am BTW)
Ft Benning, GA
If you're going into the medical field they you will go to Ft Sam Huston for AIT. Once you're in the Army as enlisted with a degree you can go OCS. From the link you posted it looks like you can apply for the Nursing Program right away, and according to this Becoming a Citizen in the U.S. Military you can start your citizenship paperwork right away too.

Looks like in about a year or 2 you could have your citizenship and be an officer. Not a bad path if you ask me.

this is whats holding me back to get my citizenship as a civilian, Advisory on Processing Times
it will take 16-18 months before it gets processed, which in military process starts immediately... my recruiter recommended me to go to Ft. Still for my Basic... then yes he also said Ft Sam Huston for AIT.

Well if you go to Ft Sill for basic training let me know, I work right down the street from where they have basic training. I can come visit you on the days you can have visitors, I will even come to you graduation, and take you out to a real meal (trust me you will need one). Also if you need anything at all I am just a phone call away.

If you have any questions about what your recruiter is telling you let me know, I have contacts in recruiting. I can find out if what they are telling you is BS or the truth. Trust me recruiters will tell you anything to get you to join. When dealing with recruiters always use the 80% rule, 80% truth 20% BS.
