I dunno, it's not a bad idea. I'd say, if anything, Intel's bringing Apple more into expandability than before.

I'd also like to expand on the point that Macs are normally focused towards work (AKA video editing). I'll give you that. That's all there is to it. If anything, Apple needs to conjoin with Intel (or hell, nVidia) to further their graphics department and get more gaming capability on the Mac.

I'd completely move over then. Otherwise, I'm going to sit right here on the Windows side of the board.
