It's been mild here the last few days and some of the snow melted a bit, but there's still about 8 feet of it in the front yard. Winter isn't over yet, not by a long shot.

Well I'll be. We are in Bedford Heights area. Ypu have to admit the Cleveland burbs can be an interesting place when it comes to snow. The infamous "Lake Effect". Then let's face it this place gets flat out cold during the winters.

Definitely have to get the snow off those porch roofs. The roof over my neighbor's deck began collapsing yesterday so out came the post jacks to hold it up until it can be repaired in the spring.

Although I'm really getting tired of all the snow and cold (zero deg. again this morning), I keep reminding myself that this is the price we pay for living here where we have no hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes (well, there was one in my lifetime); no poisonous spiders, snakes, scorpions, roaches, fire ants, chiggers, termites... Oh boy, I can't wait to shovel again!!!
