| I voted yes. It gives people a chance to become further enmeshed into the HL community and makes them feel more apart of the site. I also feel that by having members of HL participate in blogging activities, this will increase HL's exposure on the Internet and perhaps have more people register and be part of the HL experience. My only consideration of the blogging idea is who will be responsible for cleaning up and/or moderating the content (expletives, racist comments, etc. etc.) of the blogs being written? Not to say that the people here at HL would do that, (I'd like to think we have one of the most mature communities on the 'net) but to just cover our own ass on the off chance that it does happens. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Of course the blogs will fall under the same rules as the forums themselves......I'm not as worried as some of you about content.....we have a really good core of people here, and as much as you all are clowns, i think for the most part everyone gets along well. | T-Rex | I vote no. I myself do not blog and read no personal blog whatsover. I read "techno" blogs that are updated by several different people once a day, that's about it. Unless one of the blog would catch my interest by being updated daily, chances are I won't read it unless extremely bored. ;) |

| Colonel Calamity | I would say have it available on request to people that are registered and have a minimum number of posts (say around 200)... as long as it is not just open to everyone who registers, we should be fine. Great idea ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| HL's Technomancer | This might make good use of the new reputation counter, unless it's going to be VIP members only. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | I will have to vote yes I, like many others, feel that it would open up a good avenue for members to post ideas, products that they have encountered, personal experiences, etc... I also believe it should be set to a time frame of either being here and active for a specific length of time, or a certain number of posts. As mentioned, it might be kind of an icing on the cake for the VIP members. It may get interested parties to become a VIP member if this was offered only to VIP members. |

| I voted yes, because if it were a way to link my existing blog to my account here, I'd use it in a heartbeat. Then people could see what my latest blog post is. Otherwise, I don't think I'd use another blog here. I recently shut down three others, and only recently started a movie review blog, because I wanted to share my movie opinions separate from my main blog. |

| Functional Alcoholic | I voted no because I think that they will be abused. Instead of them being used for there original purpose. I am afraid they will be turned into Myspace like diaries of forum members daily lives. When they should be used for people to post their progress on a certain project or to post about what they think about a certain tech related subject. I could really careless that you ate 4 tacos for lunch and you still can't get up the courage to ask out Amy Smith that you have been stalking since grade school, and now she is married with 3 kids, and still doesn't know your alive. |
