*wonders if you ever have been in a casino* :P

Statistically when playing the house Baccarat has the highest chance of you winning, followed by blackjack. When playing the house in poker, the dealer usually has to have queen high or better for his hand to even qualify for play, if it doesn't qualify you win the ante. There isn't any real betting, just the ante and if you have a decent hand, you double the ante (match it in 3 card stud) for the bet or fold, no poker faces necessary :P

well the thing is, card games take too long, you either milk the $$ slowly, or you win slowly. For the gamblers, thats why slots are so addicting, fast outcome, fast payout, fast bankruptcy!

Every Christmas we have a get together at my Grandmas and she and my dad put about 200 in $1 scratch off lotto tickets. They pass them all out until their are none left and everyone scratches them off. Grandma won $50 last year on a single ticket and I won $35 all together off of 3 different winners. Thats about the closest to gambling I get to. =P

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I too am also guilty as charged. You get to amuse yourself, see what kind of new kewl stuff is out there, put it all in a cart, imagine what it would be like if you had it, look at the price, leave it there, walk away with all your cash and a nice little dream of what could have been. I don't even feel bad about not having it. ^^

I like Craps, I have won and lost alot of money at that game. If there is a good roller you have a good shot at making alot of money but then again you have to know how to play and stay off the pass line. Also I couldnt live in a place like Vegas due to the fact I would be calling one of those gambler anonymous #'s.

every year or two the wife and I go over to Biloxi and take about $100 each for gambling money just to relax and get away. We know we will lose it but its nice for a weekend away from kids and inlaws and everything else.
Last time was new years 07 and she lost most of her money, and I was about $150 up due to black jack... then we went back next day and we each had about $30-40 left.. so we went shopping at walmart and bought a few things.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Here's a easy come easy go story. A friend of mine who is an excellent pool player won $11,000 playing pool in Vegas and then proceeded to lose all of it playing $1,000 hands of blackjack. I said he was an excellent pool player not smart.

Wow, almost a 43% return rate, what a deal! That's why gambling sucks. I went to Vegas last year and gambled a total of like $1.35. And guess what... I lost it all!!!
