it is possible but I can't guarantee it... check Windows Updates or try here:

Download details: .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86)

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Okay when I install and run the BAT, it gets past the password and then I get the following:

Unable to connect to 'Dad:8687', socket error: generic socket failure, error stack: MPIDU_Sock_post_connect(1228): unable to connect to Dad on port 8676, exhuasted all endpoints (errno -1)

Okay found the fix, turn of the UAC. This is actually very frustrating, the UAC is a great idea and if companies used the directory system it imposes correctly it would be super. To many programs still do not use it right however ... oh well...

oh god UAC.... people get so used to saying allow to everything that they will allow the malware to install itself... pointless implemetation...

thats why I am sticking with XP for a few more years

The UAC is a solid idea but the implimentation needs a little work. There needs to be a way to run a program without uAC and assign it that without being asked all the time. You know get a pop up the first time and have an option to disable UAC for future uses of that program.

Well vista knows how to SCARE THE LIVING S*** out of someone! I woke up at 5:30 this morning, no idea why, so I decide to see how the SMP client was doing. I don't have the monitors set to turn off, nor any other power options, so I started getting nervous when both screens were black and unresponsive. I figured a hard reboot was the only thing that could be done, so I look down to find the reset switch -- the HDD activity light is solid. So after changing my shorts I reset the comp only to find a disk boot failure message. After shutting down completely and starting back up it found the disk this time but after POSTing the disk activity light would go solid for about 2 seconds, blink, solid for 2 seconds, blink, nonstop. After checking the connections, I figured since its posting the only logical problem would be vista, so I grab the DVD and attempt a boot repair, but I was pretty much sure it wouldn't help. In the end I had format/reinstall. Better than losing everything b/c of a borked HDD though.

Oh, and I just realized that using FreeRAMXP Pro's global memory compression I can reduce the memory toll of the SMP client from 331MB to 64MB.
