Radio Shack TRS-80 with a MASSIVE 4k of memory. (I'll never need more than that. )
Floppy? What's a floppy?
Cassette? You mean a cassette tape, right?
Color? Sure I have color. Two of them. Black and white.
I had looked at the Franklin but went with the TRS.

I'm going to really show my age on this one...

My first Computer was an Altair 8800, which I purchased with paper route money way back in 1975. I was 11 then, but my parents (who still are so anti-technology) were so against it. I did spend the extra money for the assembled version. I beat the crap out of that machine.

For my 17th birthday, instead of a car, I bought the IBM PC 5150 in 1981. I splurged for the dual 5 1/4" floppy drives when I bought it. In 1982, I added a printer card ($400!!!) and got an Epson dot-matrix printer (CRS Syndrome: can't remember the model), and maxxed out the memory at 640k. Then I spent $1,000 for the 10Mb hard drive in 1983 to be able to save all my games and crap without the floppy disks. What a time configuring DOS to run off of a hard drive back then!!! Oh, and the sales person at Radio Shack said "You'll never fill this drive up!" Yeah, same thing I was telling people 20 years later at CompUSA with those huge 80Gb hard drives!

Oh, those were the days!

Edit: I bought a second used one in 1985 at a garage sale (the guy said it stopped working), replaced the power supply and ran it for years. I sold it to NASA for $5,000 in 2003 for the Space Shuttles (which use the same parts for their onboard computers). I still have the original, even though NASA offered me another $5,000 for it.
