As for the video cards, I guess it's a personal preference, I would want a pair of those in my PC. Have you ever tried running AfterEffects or Maya on a gaming video card?, it sucks. If the PC is only used for gaming, I agree on the 8800 pair. Why not get two? Or get 3 or 4 of the one I suggested. || AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice | Asus A8N5X s939 | OCZ Premier PC3200 Du-Ch 1GB | Sapphire X1600Pro 512MB PCI-e | 1xWD 80Gb & 1xWD 250Gb Sata(s) | Antec SLK3800B Case | Enermax NoiseTaker 485W

Definitely change the video card to two eVGA 8800GTXes. RAM should definitely be OCZ. XP Home upgrades to Vista Home Basic, not Ultimate. XPMCE upgrades to Ultimate, which is a pretty good deal either way. You're going Ultimate, so go all out. Buy either two Dell 2007WFPs or a single 2407WFP. TV tuner. Get a Hauppage dual-TV tuner card. I like Hauppage better than any card I've seen to this date. Also, grab an ATI HD Wonder card (or whatever they're called). If you're completely set on wireless, then go for the G7. I still prefer the G5. And you're not going to get a regular DVD drive? Otherwise, kickass choices my friend. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 500GB WD 7200.10 Caviar GP + 250GB Seagate 7200.9RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64

| Looks like I did some major goodness, but I'll go with Windows MCE. And probably reduce the Barracudas by two, and add two Raptors instead, heck, I'll switch the RAM to faster Corsair, and I've either got to get a motherboard with more PCI slots, or get rid of either the soundcard of the Gamebridge. Which route should I go? Main PC: Intel Pentium D 930, Asus P5LP-LE, 2GB DDR2-4300 RAM @ 4-4-4-12, Lightscribe CD/DVD Drive, DVD-ROM, 300W PSU, GeForce 7300LE, Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II, HP Media Drive Port, 300 GB Hard Drive Laptop: 900 MHz Intel Moblie CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB SSD, Intel 910 Motherboard, Linux OS (customized by Asus), 8.8 x 6.5 x 0.9 inches, 7.0 Inch screen, integrated camera, 2.0(without power cord)/2.4 lbs.(with power cord) _________________________________________ Last edited by WhiteEagle; December 29th, 2006 at 11:33. | speaking of memory, if mine serves me right, OCZ is putting out so watercooled RAM, should definitely check those out And while my mind is working, maybe three large monitors and then get the TripleHead from that one company Pentium D 915|EVGA 7050 mATX|OCZ XTC 2GB|XFX 7900GS XT|Hyper Type-R 580W|Qmicra 2 Case |

| I think the OCZ ram I posted previously in my own Ultimate PC list was the one you're thinking about. It's $500 for 1GBx2 sticks. || AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice | Asus A8N5X s939 | OCZ Premier PC3200 Du-Ch 1GB | Sapphire X1600Pro 512MB PCI-e | 1xWD 80Gb & 1xWD 250Gb Sata(s) | Antec SLK3800B Case | Enermax NoiseTaker 485W || |

| *NEC = no contest why pay more and get less? Get a NEC!! *Dell 24inch X2 ...montors are much more important than people realize. (great investment) When was the last time you sat at your computer and (didn't) use your monitor! *2 8800s * ![]() Last edited by Captain Crunch; December 30th, 2006 at 08:14. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I agree with hitman on the video card. You have three Raptors in RAID0, with the 750GB HDD for storage....no real problem there, but i'd go for one more Raptor and run it in RAID5 INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |
