Don't feel bad about it. It takes me 5 minutes to start, and 13 minutes to reboot ;)

Serious? You can't be serious...can you?
...and that randomly changing sig banner is quite the trip...I saw one where you seem to have a problem with FedEx...

I am serious. And after cutting my startup list in half it is still this slow.
I can restart my computer, go downstairs, watch some TV and when it gets to the first commercial (About 10minutes in) the system is still booting up.

The weird thing was that I thought I was seeing things when I posted and refreshed the page, and the thing changed...which is why I edited my post, but it seems I didn't have to...

Ahhhh, you made my day man Yea, its a lovely signature :) I love it! I had to make it rotate because my image was too big on another forums. So I cheated and made multiple signatures in one

Everything has a 1/10th popping up, except my rigs have a 4/10ths chance and then its randomly 1/3rd chance to see each rig.

Thanks :) Now, lets try getting back on topic.

Could anyone tell me why I still have 54 processes running on boot even though I cut my startup list in more than half?

Right...How many processes did you take out of your startup list? Or rather, how many processes did you start with, then how many did you remove? Currently, I have 43 processes running according to my task manager, and I've got 10 of 23 startup items UNchecked, and 9 of 91 services items UNchecked in msconfig. I would disable more services, but I don't know which ones (other than what I've already turned off) I can get away with ditching.

speed ur rigs boot up:
1. Start > Run
2. Type regedit and hit enter
3. Find key HKEY_LOCAL_MECHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\ContentIndex
3. Find the key "startup Delay"
4. Double click it
5. Under base check decimal
6. the value should be 4800000
7. change it to 40000
8. Restart and watch ur rig kane the boot process.

Kill the unwanted startup apps:
1. Start > Run
2. Type msconfig
3. Go to startup
4. Uncheck the processes you dont need
5. Hit ok and restart to see the changes
Hope it helps

Thanks! I tried the reg edit and will reboot now. I removed like 20+ things from my startup but it is still booting with 54 processes. I had 54 before I edited it :(
