| Hah! My problem is that that approach only works a few times, if at all. In my case she starts to get wise after a few times. After 15 years of marriage I'm afraid I've gone to that well a few too many times and the path is now closed to me. ![]() |

| Colonel Calamity | it depends on the action.... with computer stuff, I can get away with it 1-3 times per year on small purchases, once a year on large purchases online.... ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| A Lonely Geek | It works good if you use it very sparingly. A few years ago, I really needed an upgrade, but I mentioned it only once. It had been quite a while since I had bought any computer stuff...actually any toys at all. She walks in one day and asked me if I could build a computer for $1000. I luv her so! |

| Colonel Calamity | I work my wife up to it.... I build a new one every 2-3 years... I tell her that every few months and by the time it is time to do it she fights me on it for a week or two and then finally agrees to it (especially when she hears her computer is getting upgraded with the older parts but are still newer than what she currently has). ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
