That's actually what I wanted to do to begin with. This PC is going to evolve quite a bit before I have the cash though. Like I said, I'm going to collect the specs and prices each month until I can afford it. I just thought it'd be interesting to see how the technology and prices change over the course of half a year or so.

No use IMO. That, and painfully slow. 1T command rate rocks!

This is just your opinion. I own the ASUS A8N SLI Premium and its an awsome motherboard. Its a good OCer and has lots of great features. I have had zero problems with this board. There are lots of great MoBos out there, but don't shy away from ASUS because Lead Head stated an opinion based on no fact.

Enough!!!!
All off topic posts will be deleted. All bickering posts will be deleted.....I'm getting rather tired of the BS.

As to the motherboards...if you want AM2, the Foxconn and EPoX boards are very very good in my opinion. ASUS generally makes very feature packed and stable boards for both AMD and INTEL, but i won't recommend their stuff to people who want the most extreme O/C. As to MSI, I actually don't care for their board, mostly because their very short shelf life (try finding a K8N Diamond Plus)...their s939 boards were very good, but were not on the shelves for very long, and their firmware/BIOS's are not updated enough.
ECS also makes very good products that generally have a very good bundle, are very stable, and easy to work with. I can't, nor can anyone else right now...comment on DFI's offering for AM2

INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU

Is that to say that they haven't released one yet or that they're just too new to know much about them?

To the best of my knowledge, they have not been publically released yet...should be very shortly though. I don't like commenting on hardware before its publically available...it leads to rumors....and thats not our business
