You really think so? I've heard nothing but good things about them. Perhaps a DFI one instead.
Asus has really nice intel motherboards, but they kind of lost it on the AMD side, they are decent boards, but are they worth the $200 price tag?

I would honestly prefer this, but its really up to your opinion

ASUS is very good, just as mainstream board though. I wouldn't recommend them to an overclocker.
My favorite AM2 board is this Epox....damn fine motherboard. I would also skip the Crucial memory and go with GeiL, G.Skill, or OCZ. Forget the Raptors, they are really overrated, I'm running a pair with the 750GB backup, and wish I'd just gone with the single 750GB with a 250 backup...RAID is a complete waste, and $250 for 150 GB is horrendous cost efficiency

that Foxconn is also a very good board, I'd have no problem recommending it

I wasn't planning on doing RAID, but I may drop the Raptor. I have one right now, and I honestly can't tell the difference between it and the 7200RPM Barracuda.

Because they have it listed under the Gaming Memory sub heading rather than the System sub heading.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm not sure why they'd need a different category for it though, especially since Crucial's memory is in the system memory section.

Thanks for clearing that up for me :)
