I have no doubt that those are high quality, but they'll be lucky to hit near 500watts total power....

Those speakers have MOSFET based amps wich are not of great quality, no matter what, now PSUs are MOSFET based to..but for audio, transformers are the way to go, less electrical noise

You may be right led I don't claim to know to be honest but I can say this I think they sound as good as any computer speaker system (Iv heard) and when there cranked it's still normally only a quarter of the way up....30 % maybe..........These things are LOUD Iv never cranked them all the way up and have NO desire to I like my eardrums when there NOT bleeding.....LOL

With the improvements made in digital amplifier technology as of late, analog amps are all but obsolete (IMHO). Better sound quality, better SNR, MUCH LESS heat, less space. The difference is almost like jumping from analog media to digital media.
