Yea, the only reason I thought of the MSI board was because, IMO, it looks 'cooler'........

I got around to thinking, you think it would be a better way to go is to get a mATX board with integrated graphics to save cost (integrated graphics can still play WoW right?) maybe like a G33 or G35-based board? Then get a mATX case because he told me Friday he plans to be hauling this thing to friends houses for LAN as whatnot.

So, about the mATX board, do you guys have some recommendations? It has to have decent integrated graphics (can play CS:S and WoW, etc.). He may upgrade GPU's in the future.

Oh, and a decent mATX case that is easy to move around at a decent price... don't forget about looks!

Any opinions on this is appreciated.

I wouldn't bet on integrated graphics doing much for 3D gaming like WoW. I've heard of people playing CS:S and stuff on a GeForce 6100 integrated graphics chip, but I think it was a fairly low resolution without much detail. If you want to do any gaming at all, get at least a bottom of the line mid-range card (like 7600GS or X1600). Otherwise you can start out with integrated graphics and see how he likes it and if he decides he wants to start playing more games he can easily upgrade the graphics later on when he's go the cash to spare.

Let me put together another newegg cart for you Nate, brb....

Ok Nate...

Foxconn G33M LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
ALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
mushkin 550200 ATX12V 550W Modular Power Supply
Seagate ST3400320AS 400GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
Foxconn TLM776-CN300C-02 Black Steel MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
LITE-ON DVD-Burner

$719.22 Taxed and Shipped.

What do you think?
He would use the integrated video for now, and if he wants he can later add a video card. He also has room to grow with memory, he can add another set of 2GB if he wants later down the road.
I chose the 400GB drive instead of the 500GB drive because the 400GB drive had 32MB cache rather than 16MB, so it'll be a little bit faster.

Nice system, Parker, thanks! I may switch out that case for THIS one though, as I said he's going to be hauling this thing around and the Silverstone is just plain sexy. OTher than that, that systems look perfect. Thanks again!

No prob!
That silverstone is sweet looking man! But that'll bring the price up to about $840... he'll have to make $440 more.
Good Night...
