| On PC World's readers' survey, Epson did'nt rate very well. Highest ratings were for Canon, Brother, Samsung, Konica/Minolta, and Oki. Although they were rated the worst, I still like Lexmark. Very cheap. $15 ink at Walmart. Throw the bloody thing out when it dies and what you've saved on ink has paid for the printer. (Provided it lasts more than six months!!!) | Colonel Calamity | I myself am one that prefers dedicated items as they can do the job better by itself but for a dorm and light usage the all-in-one should work nicely. No suggestions here as I am still using a HP Photosmart 7350 from 4 years ago (but still prints awesome photos) ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

OKi over Epson? I find that very hard to believe, how many adds were from Canon, Brother (have you ever used a brother printer?) and Samsung? I have pictures printed on my old 1280 that people think are real photographs printed in a store. "For the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead..." | Functional Alcoholic | I have an old Minolta Laser printer that I have been using for as long as I can remember, it's not great but it serves the purpous I need it for. The most important thing no matter wich brand you choose is to find a printer that has all the features you need. Don't get sucked in by features you don't need or will never use. There are websites that review printers, so your best bet is to research and find a printer that fits your needs then search for reviews on that specific brand and model. Everyone can suggest printers to you all day but if they don't fit your specific needs it doesn't do you much good. |
