*shrugs* I'm from the time where board didn't have anything on the chipset, anyway. Besides, it's windy enough in my 900. =]

That's what I'm getting, and I've heard alot of good things about this board.
It's a great little OC'er

Whats the list of parts your going to buy so far?
Yeah, 9 dollar difference between not wifi and wifi.

Likely going to be E8400, P5K-E, 4GB Patriot (not the viper one), Seagate 1TB. Might as well grab a NEC SATA burner, since mine is ATA.
The rest I got it. Gonna give a 250GB for the family computer, unraid my 320GBs, copy/ghost the necessary information to the 1TB, install Vista x64 on my computer and Vista x86 on the family computer.

Undecided on cooler so far.

Sound like an awesome build man

You may want to check out This Thermalright CPU cooler...
I've seen many new builds with this one, and I've heard that it cools very well.

Or of course you could go watercooling!
It's actually very fun :)
And it doesn't take too much effort to maintain a watercooled system.

If your interested I can give you a list of WC parts for a CPU only loop.

If you want the best of the best, the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme is prettymuch the way to go.

Funny how I had that one in mind, lol. Pricey, but totally worth it.

I'm likely going to purchase before the 18 of Feb because there's a $30 MIR on the memory and some little rebates for Vday week.
Do you think I'm forgetting anything? I need a suggestion for a TV tuner with low latency too, since I want to plug my video games on my computer/monitor!

NCIX.com - Buy Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core Processor LGA775 3.0GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MB Retail *Limited Qty* - BX80570E8400 In Canada.

NCIX.com - Buy Samsung 2220WM 22IN Widescreen LCD Monitor Glossy Black Finish 1680X1050 1000:1 5MS VGA DVI Speakers - LS22WJWKBM/XAA In Canada.
$254.99

Total: $1,169.79

NCIX has also pricematching, and one of their sister site, DirectCanada sells all for cheaper. So I will likely pricematch DC prices or others if I can find. :)

I will buy 6 or so Kaze 10dBA fans from Petra's too, to replace the ones in my 900 (+ some spare)

Edit: Just saved 30 bucks doing price match left and right from reputable vendors, so it should get accepted no problem.

Just a note, I picked up a P5k-E/wifi a few weeks ago and it's been fantastic so far. Plenty of OC settings. Took my E6400 to 3.2GHz with minimal effort (plenty of headroom left). Had no problems with any of my other hardware, and has been all around a joy to use.

Thanks for the feedback. It's always somewhat reassuring to hear about good stories with the parts you're going to buy.

btw if you do get the P5K + wifi, make sure its got a draft N one, you dont wanna spend the $$ and have a G just to have to buy a new card. Although honestly a USB port Wifi Card is just good enough and less hassle imo.
