Exactly. When i had a 9600XT, which was about a year ago, I was able to play most of the new games at 1024X768 with no AA or AF which is pretty low. Now, with my 6600GT I can play at much higher levels.

well the only problem is htat he doesn't want to spend alot of money.



E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz
2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz
gigabyte P35 S3L
eVGA 7600GT Stock
120 gig seagate
ULTRA X-Finity 600w
Sonata 2 w/ top fan
G5 Lazer Mouse

What's "a lot" of money? What is his budget?

You have to make a comprimise somewhere inbetween. You won't be able to play all the new games with a 9550 and it will quickly be too slow for games released by the end of the year. How about we get the man himself here.

BTW. I would like to stay with the kingston RAM for 1 gig 3200.

I just looked at the Prices at NCIX, i guess thats about as cheap as they come.

yeah. I looked Anitec and the only thing they sell cheaper would be CPUs.

Considering I use pretty much the same system, A bump in ram to 1gb (generic will do) and a decent video card will make all the diffrence.
