lmao! So does mine (obviously) :P

I'm pretty excited about this build. It's the first good one that's 100% mine. All my other PCs I built from really old systems people gave me. I was running 333Mhz P3, 384MB RAM, 4MB ATI card (forget the model, but it's ancient), and quite a few hard drives - 6GB, 4GB, 2x 10GB, external 160GB (all on an 85w PSU mind you!). I was running XP on it and it was actually a lot faster than our P4 with 128MB RAM. There's something wrong with that P4 machine; I thought it was the RAM (Rambus, what can I say) but the RAM tested fine. It may be the hard drive.

hmm.. My FPS probably won't be suffering that much (I should hope not! LOL), but that's a good link.

What I'm really concerned about is the wireless connection. Not only do I have to get it working (hopefully it shouldn't be too hard), but I'm really concerned about it keeping a good connection in my bedroom. My dad tried to use the same adapter behind the garage and it was pooped out about 20x as much as it was actually connected, and the kbps was terrible.

I've used the wireless with my sister's laptop in my room before, but for the life of me I can't remember how well it worked! If I remember correctly, I had to sit a certain way to get it connected :( But since my adapter has a base on an extension cord, I'm hoping that won't be too big of a deal :)

Hmm. Does your card attach to a larger recepter? The one at my grandfather's house could attach an antena to it.

Probably. With those incredibly slow hard disks, not only is your system going to load slow as all hell, but the its going to rely alot more on a pagefile with only 128MB of RAM.

That 4MB card might have been a 3D rage. Just a wild guess though. I know someone who is still using a voodoo3. I think I'll give him my old card when I'm done with =D

Have fun with your build. Don't blow it up!

No... it's USB stick style. It's got a base though, so I can move it around if I need. The base acts like an antenna anyways, so that's good :)

The pagefile never occurred to me. I'll bet we're right. I'm not sure whether that PC's worth replacing the drive or not though.

You're right. I couldn't think of the name last night, but it's 3D Rage. It's actually not a bad little card for its time. I was able to play videos flawlessly at 1280x1024 on it, and I could play THPS2 at 640x480.

Probably won't overclock it at all unless I just do it for a few minutes to see how far it can go. I'm not using hardly any cooling here anyways.
