DON'T buy a Roswell PSU. Get like an Antec Neo 430 or something. PSU is a very important part of the PC.
I was thinking of just getting a cheap sound card for now for the Compaq(just to ease the stress on the cpu). Also, I've had this Rosewill RP-500 for a while now. I bought it in 2006 for my Emachine. It has been a wonderful PSU, never caused any problems whatsoever. The only thing I got for my computer that caused me trouble was the video card. :p

I really hate being wrong, but I'm never ashamed to admit it. The fan came today and it does not fit.

I'll mail it back to you sometime this week or next week, Quakindude.

In other news, I mailed the ATI card and stick of memory today.

Replicarter, I received my 8800GT and have it installed. I am going to the post office right now to send out the 7950GT to you.
It is just the card, no cd. But you can dl the drivers, etc from the Leadtek website.
I hope you enjoy it.

Wonderful! :D Thank you so much. No cd is fine, I have no issues with downloading what I need. :) I think I'm going to get the drivers now and put them on my flash drive so I have them ready for the new PC as soon as it's open and set up.

I believe I will most definitely enjoy the card. :)

Also, how is that 8800GT working for you?

I didn't have much time to give it a good run. But I did get about 15 minutes in Far Cry. I had all the settings pretty much max'd out. Not all but most.

WOW!!!

Before I couldn't see the individual rocks in the ground. Now I see the pebbles and sand.
Tree trunks were there and you could see the vines. Now you can see the coarseness of the bark.
The grass was individual shoots of green that suddenly sprung up around you as you walked. Now you see the 'tassles' at the top of the grass. And it is already there, not springing up around you.
Trees in the distance would occasionally morph. Now they are trees. You walked under a tree and didn't see any shadows. Now the shadows are there and you see them move as you move in relation to whatever is casting the shadow.
The surface of the water wasn't rendering correctly. Now you can see thru it with that glassine surface like you should. You can even see the little ripples.
Again, my initial response..... WOW!!
Wonder what it will do with all the settings max'd? Also wonder what frame rates I'm getting.
Can't wait to try it in the Crysis Demo.
