Default Re: New build

After reading some of the posts I looked at the 2 things that stood out and decided on this
BFG GeForce 9600 GT OC2 Video Card
BFG GeForce 9600 GT OC2 Video Card - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, HDMI Support BFGE96512GTOC2E at TigerDirect.com
EVGA nForce 750i SLI FTW Motherboard
EVGA nForce 750i SLI FTW Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 750i, 45nm Support, Socket 775, ATX, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, Gigabit LAN, SPDIF, USB 2.0, Firewire, Serial ATA, RAID 123-YW-E175-A1 at TigerDirect.com

Then after reading the rest of the posts I thought ...ok let you guys decide what you think for the best bang for the buck...A couple things I want to point out.
1.The os is in error I do want the 64 bit.
2.The 4 gigs of ram, but plan on adding more.
Like I said I would like it for gaming, bf2, cod4 etc... And I would like to oc it (beginner).

**So the budget would be $700 not including the cpu,psu or the 64 bit os. I was also thinking about running 2 video cards if the first card was reasonable (about $150-$175) then I could upgrade to the 2nd card in another month or so , and the same with the ram I would like to get 4 gigs then get more as time passes.**

Thanks all, hope you help it scream.
The only 2 things I'm really partial to is the 8400 and the corsair tx 750.

I am an avid COD4 and BF2 Mod player. These fine people here helped me with my build below, and she runs both games blazingly fast. Did the whole thing for $1100 and change. I got my sexy back.

Now for the 24 in screen....NEXT!

Check out the thread in General Computing, "If I build it, will it run?"

Good to hear....you wouldn't happen to have any sexy Garetjax can have, would you? He was sadly born without any sexiness.

In all seriousness....this group of guys does a spectacular job helping people pick the best possible parts based on budget and need. We actually get a lot of good feedback on our recommendations.

I cleaned up this thread to keep things on topic.....nothing more.

I always encourage you guys to read as many reviews as possible before making a purchase. As I also elaborated on my feelings, and why i posted them, and stand by that.

If you guys want to discuss how or why we feel a certain way, we can start a thread to discuss that, and if you feel we are biased or irresponsible, I encourage you to frequent another site (This is not directed at anyone in particular, especially Tech Geek, who brought up some very good, and valid points).

Anyway.......back on topic.
