Now I'm calling you retarded, because that's useless.

Except the chances of breaking a finger while squeezing ICD7 out of it's tube, it's fairly easy to use. The amount you have to put is close to double if not triple of most silicon based thermal paste so that always looks a bit weird.
Other than that, the stuff is somewhat rough on the CPU IHS. After a few installs and if you move it around the stuff printed on your CPU might fade/disappear.

It depends on the configuration. As you move toward more pricey and performing parts, you'll see the GPU and CPU make a ton of heat while the power supply is somewhat efficient. It's not abnormal to see power supplies only cooled with relatively small heatsinks and a 120mm low speed fan but most GPU fans are like hair dryers.

hrm i put my hand to the back of my pc, and alot of the heat seems to be coming from the PSU

its pretty dusty in their too.. i should really take it apart and use this bottle of compressed air to get rid of all that dust

Hmm, I wouldn't take it apart.. maybe leave it unplugged over night and then blow it out through the fan with some canned air or something... it's probably just not necessary to actually open the psu.

But honestly, the psu you have just might not be all that efficient, and as a result just runs hot. I know I have one psu like that...

ohh i didnt mean take the psu apart, i meant open the computer and use the air on all of the computer since the actual box itself is full of dust lol

The Psu is suppose to be good, i got it while i worked at bestbuy.. they were trying to sell it for like 180 and i bought it with discount for like 85

Yeah, getting rid of the dust will probably help alot.

And the psu probably is good, it just happens to run hotter than some psu's might. Nothing really wrong about it.

i think i have some spyware or adaware or something.. this random command box opens every 10-15 minutes and then nearly insta shuts before i can screen shot or anything, its really pissing me off.. ever since i got some crappy download to open a video format..

Anyone have a good link to how to format your pc? also, would i have to format my external hard drive in case it had viruses too or is it most likely clean?

i have tried a bunch of virus scanners and ad-aware type products

Since i had time to sleep on it, i wondered if the
Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors Q9300 is better/faster then an overclocked E8400 even without overclock settings? and on the gigabite mobo
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

if thats the case, i could put that processor in with the gigabite mobo and not buy the extra fan and just disregard overclocking all together. suggestions? it would come out to almost the same price, without voiding the warranty

for the spyware, try superantispyware and run a full system scan. after it is done and removes whats needed, remove it from your computer because it is a resource hog. It does an awesome job of removing crap.

Thanks HL and Corsair!
