I was actually just looking at that post a minute ago. The reason i'm sticking with this one is for the three year warranty that does not come with the OEM version.

That's always a good reason. Intel's pretty good with customer service too, from my experience. I hope it's in stock for you soon then!

the 8800GT does not support DX10.1, nor does any nvidia card currently available. The ATI 38XX cards DO support it though... in reality there is not much of a reason to go with a 10.1 based card unless you have a specific program or game that takes advantage of it. (in other words go with the card you have chosen)

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Great thanks, Does anybody have a good link to a guide to put it all together? Including how to install the operating system, the needed drivers/ custom fans and such..

Also, a general overclocking question, when overclocking do i set everything to overclock on the actual system, or do i actually adjust the hardware itself?

We had a few guides floating around here but I don't have the links handy.

As for OC... it is all handled through the BIOS (also called CMOS or "Setup" when the computer first boots). I would get the system up and running for a few days before even jumping into OC as the actual "art" of OC is much more time consuming then the insert hardware, install software part of it.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

System Building Part II: Putting It All Together
The HardwareLogic Overclocking Guide

You go into the system BIOS and tweak settings there. Not on the actual hardware.

Sweet was looking through the putting it together thread, it mentioned putting thermal paste on the CPU, does that come with the cpu or something i should buy on my own?

and is the external cpu fan i have hard to install? it was not mentioned in that thread

I hope this all looks less intimidating when i actually have it in front of me instead of looking at pictures of it

yep, you'll figure it out when you have all the parts. You'll need to buy some thermal paste... Petra's Tech Shop or Petra's Tech Shop

and the cpu cooler installation is different for each one. I believe you are getting the ZEROTherm, correct? Well, here is HL's review of it, and it covers installation: ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 CPU Cooler Review - Installation and Testing

yep, just squeeze a rice-grain sized amount onto the CPU, then put the heatsink onto it.

I may be able to ship you some for free, I have a ton of the stuff around here.
