In my opinion....if I,had to do it all over again...the 900 would have been my case.Your other choices are outstanding. You only get 1 first time build.Like buying a first time "new" car.You choose what you feel comfy with and make it your best!

Hey thanks a lot! This is actually my second computer that i'm putting together from scratch, however, the first time i got a computer was 3-4 years ago, and it was basically me walking into frys, and the salesman pretty much doing this to me.. haha.. i got a good rig for the time, but i also spent nearly 2100 and they put it together. This time i'm doing it all myself, piece by piece

Edit: someone told me the mobo i'm getting does not have firewire..
So to my question, what is firewire, should i be worried about it?

Firewire is just a connection, it's like a USB connection except is different.
Nothing to be worried about.

Can't touch dis.

Good stuff.
So when it says dual core, that means that its like two CPUs runing at 3.0ghz each?

Still not 100% clear on what the dual/quad core means as opposed to just single core.

You can also just get a firewire PCI card if you think you need firewire connection for something.

Technically speaking, yes. But if you have a dual core CPU at 3.0Ghz, that doesn't mean you've got a 6Ghz processor, it just means that you have two horses pulling a big load instead of one. Make sense?

Two hands work faster than one, four hands work faster than two.
But that doesn't mean you should get a quad core because it'd be faster, it's only faster if your running big app's or some really really hard core gaming.
