| socket 939 junkie | i have eVGA's 7600GT KO in my deployment pc and its a great little card. plays company of hero's with max settings at 1280x1024 just fine. to be honest i really cant see a difference between it and my 7800GT except in benchmarking Q6600 @ 3.6ghz (400x9 @ 1.408v) Gigabyte X38-DQ6 2x2GB G-Skill DDR2 1000 @ DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2T 2.1v Visiontek HD4870 Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB Cache HDD Razer Barracuda AC1 Silverstone DA750 Samsung Dual Layer DVD Burner Lian Li G70WB Thermochill PA120.3|Swiftech Storm Rev.2|Swiftech MCP 655 |

| socket 939 junkie | he's pulling them from his other build. is your 80GB hard drive sata or ATA? if its ATA, its gonna be a bit difficult going with an AM2 or LGA775 system since they only have one PATA port. do-able, but make sure you set the hard drive as "master" and the optical as "slave" Q6600 @ 3.6ghz (400x9 @ 1.408v) Gigabyte X38-DQ6 2x2GB G-Skill DDR2 1000 @ DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2T 2.1v Visiontek HD4870 Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB Cache HDD Razer Barracuda AC1 Silverstone DA750 Samsung Dual Layer DVD Burner Lian Li G70WB Thermochill PA120.3|Swiftech Storm Rev.2|Swiftech MCP 655 |

| I would not recommend putting a HDD and a CD-ROM on the same cable, for starters they use different cables. A hard drive will use a 40-pin 80 conductor cable, while a CD or DVD will only require 40-pin 40 conductor cable. Also to consider is that putting an optical drive on the same IDE channel as a HDD will drop the HDD performance to that of the optical drive. ____________________________ _= AMD 2700+ OC'd to 3200 =_ -=1GB RAM, ATI 9600XT 512MB=- -------------------------------- |
