| Modder-ator | Like the others have said, make sure the boot order in the BIOS is set correctly. Once I get Windows installed, I usually change it to boot from the HDD first, then just disable the other boot order devices to avoid confusion. You can also double check your connections and make sure something didn't wiggle loose. There may be a slight chance the drive is failing too. If you can hear extra loud clicks that seem to go in a constant pattern (like CLICK, CLICK, Whir, CLICK, CLICK, Whir...) then your drive could be failing and you should contact the HDD manufacturer and get a replacement set up. If you are unsure about the drive's health, you could try connecting it to anther computer and see if it can be accessed that way. |

| try booting with only 1 DIMM of memory, some MB's are finkle and only like to boot initially with 1 DIMM. |

| yup it boots to the hdd first and i dont have a floppy drive in it is there an easy way to update the bios? burning to a cd? |

| you can put it on a USB memory stick and use the gigabyte Q-flash. I hate saying this but consult the manual on how to do this. Its best to do those updates to the letter to avoid anything going wrong. |

| oh its a gigabyte board? try also just jumping right into bios and disabling the floppy drive. I know i had that boot error with the DS3L my brother uses. |
