So, here's the final config I think guys:

2 of the following systems, My cousin was so amazed with it he said he might have to buy 2 identical systems! Check this out:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400
ASUS P5Q-E
OCZ Reaper 2x2048MB DDR2-800
Sapphire Radeon HD4780
Scythe Infinity (Mugen) CPU Cooler
Corsair TX Series TX750 60A Single Rail

What do you guys think? As always, I'm open to suggestions you guys have, anything, for any reason.

Thanks.

Theres a big difference between the two.

The Q9400 has 6mb of cache vs. 12mb on the Q9450.

Cache plays a pretty big role in processors. I'd grab the Q9450 or Q9550, they both have 12mb.

Everything else looks great to me.

Does the cache really make a world of difference? The price difference is roughly $70 between the Q9400 and the Q9550. I think the multipliers may be different too, but I've seen many successful OCs of the Q9400 in the high 3's - which is wicked for a quad core. Basically, is it worth that extra $65-70?

I'm quite anxious for this one lol (as you may be yourselves).

In your case, higher cache will make a good difference since you'll be running Adobe apps and doing video editing.

If you compared the E8400 to the Q9400, you wouldn't really see much of a difference, if none at all, UNLESS your applications utilize all four cores, then you might see a "small" difference there.
But if you compared the E8400 to the Q9550, you'd see a much bigger difference with the quad.

If it were me, I'd spend the extra money on the Q9550 and OC the beast to 3.9-4.0Ghz.

Hey also, save some money and get the Corsair 750w TX PSU, highly recommended.

Canada Computers - Power Supplies/Management > Desktop Power Supplies : Corsair TX Series TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 120MM Fan.
