The formatting can take time. Took over an hour for my 500GB SATA drive

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Well if its formatting, then you're good to go. Formatting hard drives (especially big ones) take quite a while...

Looks great bud, congrats! You've got a great setup there!
Are you planning to overclock the E8400?
And that little LCD is sweet!

Thanks a lot. I worked hard on the wiring. Darn cables out of the PSU were the hardest to hide but the CM 690 did a sweet job. I love the case!

Yeah, I want to oc the E8400. I have been reading up on the bios tweaks the mobo came with. I want to make sure I am getting the most out of the CPU and the memory.

Here is a good place to start to learn about the dark art of overclocking.

HELP! Weird but as I was looking at the bios...learning... the Asus Maximus Formula has an Extreme Tweaker section in bios. I went in to see what was what..just navigating (I know how to do this without problems) and the bios screen froze!

Any ideas? I did do a power button off, back on, and went back into bios...all ok. I go into that area again...frozen again??

I always suggest updating to the latest version... if you run into any isues with that one, you can go back one, then back again if needed until you have a stable BIOS and a stable system.
