| Photogenic |  Re: If I build it, will it run? Sorry to hear about your accident!! Your trying to connect with an Ethernet (Cat-5/6) cable right? Is it plugged in to the first ethernet port on your mobo? Or are you trying to do it wireless?   |

| Re: If I build it, will it run? @RAID, under Drivers/chipset there is only DOS, IMSM, INF, and MakeDisk. Not sure where to go... @ScrewBall, I am going to try your suggestion, but I can not get on that link from the computer in question as it does not connect to the internet. I did try the fix by unplugging it all and waiting as you suggested. I did this 2x and it did not work. I did use a Cat 6 cable to the Dlink. I may be in the second port, I have been trying both. While it is unplugged, the computer has to be shut down the entire time. also look in your router/firewall events to see if it may be blocking the Vista DHCP... another option is to look through the network settings and disable the IPv6.. | Colonel Calamity | Re: If I build it, will it run? just start, then in the search area type cmd and hit Enter. then type the first line, then type the second line. that resets the computers IP address Thanks HL and Corsair!
