| I have considered that the video card might be causing the weird wobble and focus issues on powerup, but the wobble/negative zoom that I'm seeing when I power on the system only happen when I first turn the monitor on. Otherwise, after everything is powered on and booted, the only thing that happens is the desktop is off center and has to re-center itself and the display overall is a little blurry. Cables? Who knows? If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Sounds like it's degaussing, which would be completely normal on a CRT. Are you positive it's defective? |

| We've tried using the same cables on other monitors and they look fine. The acer's looked better than the samsungs and the viewsonic when we unpackaged them, but within about 2 weeks they develop the strange symptoms. We've tried returning them newegg said no because there aren't 8 dead pixels, so we contacted Acer, they said it was unusual and they weren't sure what could be causing it, but there was nothing they could do, that irritated me..Anyways, enough thread jacking for me |

| BAM-BAM | I use a 19"ws Sceptre monitor and it works well, however if you buy one its a crap shoot, I dont know how well their warranty works. Also I wouldnt pay over 150.00 for one. I would go with a Dell, or a samsung if I was buying today. -1 |

| Well, my monitor is now officially done - kaput. Last night it failed to even show its self test screen, and today it wouldn't even do me the courtesy of showing me my desktop, except for a couple times when it appeared like a faded image zooming in and disappearing. And I hear crackling noises inside the unit as well - Got it turned off. I bought this one last night and hopefully it will arrive before the end of the week. Hopefully it won't give me any headaches, but with over 1000 mostly decent reviews, it can't be too bad. And you guys are right...their return policy on these things is tight! No refunds and they want 8 dead pixels before considering an exchange...any dead pixels at all should be enough for them. If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |
