No, actually, the new standard adopted is SATA 2.5

AS far as the PSU......Make sure it meets ATX 2.0 Specification,,,,,,keep a couple of things in mind. more important than the overall power (600W or 500W) is the 12V rails..
Blake brought up some very good names....Fortron and Seasonic. I would also check out Antec's TruePower 2.0 Series....very good power supplies.
I have had three OCZ power supplies and had issues with all three, so I pwersonally would stay away from them.

It really is about time they clarified that whole naming scheme so you don't have to guess if your "SATAII" drive has 300Gb/s transfer rates :roll:

And about the PSU's: A good rule of thumb is to see if the combined 12V (12V1 and 12V2) rails add up to a total of at least 30 Watts.
