| ok almost ready to put out another list, capper do you agree with changing the monitor? and to a evga card? and should i go for the direct x 10, cause i dont wanna have to buy another card this summer and if you think dx10 is the way to go, im looking at these 2 cards : MSI NX8800GTX-T2D768E GeForce 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail eVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail Intel Celeron CPU 2.8GHz MS-6714 Mainboard Intel 845G Chipset Intel Integrated 82845G Graphics 40GB UltraDMA Hard Drive Sony DVD/CD RW Steady-state 200 watts PSU Last edited by duckingzebra; December 25th, 2006 at 11:51. |

| The Final Word | yep, all very good points. when it comes to NVIDIA cards, I usually recommend eVGA, XFX, or BFG.....and while I love Corsair, the OCZ is a good trade off. | The Final Word | Nothing wrong with that monitor....you'll be fine with anything less than a 12ms response time, and won't really see a difference under 8ms. View Sonic is about the best, HP and Samsung are both better values. You may also consider saving $200 and getting the more modest but still very powerful 8800GTS instead of the outragious power consumption, heat, and price tag of the GTX. You could get a bigger monitor or nicer speakers or something witht the $200 you save on the GTS over the GTX. | |
