well if you are looking for C2D upgradeability there is a cheap ECS mobo that supports that and DDR1 and DDR2 memory, although it is mATX. Infact its the exact board i got.

nope, not looking for upgradability, looking for a good board, cpu and memory to start with because the wife sees it as "if it works theres no need to replace it" so upgrades are something I almost never do.
