I already have the 300GB one, its a tad bit old, and 160GB is just being used in the old pc for the media center. The raptor is for obvious reasons ;)

Like everyone else, congrats on the graduation.. Now on the PC building..

Skip the Raptor and ignore it build with a solid WD SE16 and you will have plenty of HD speed. The rest of the build looks good, concerning the DS3, Newegg is shiping revision 3.3 so you SHOULD be okay with the newest revision.

I am curious why all the lighting kits, the Nine hundred lights up pretty nice. I would also look to get a good third party cooler.

Thanks :D

Very well, I haven't ordered the raptor so I'll just let it go

The lighting kits are just to screw around and give it a tri-color effect, Lots of blue and green and a little red :D

EDIT - I noticed that the latest BIOS revision for the 3.3 adds the E6420 support. Do you think it will be shipped with that revision? It was released Apr-26.

just FYI your DS3 is the 1.3 version. HERE is the DS3 that they have been shipping version 3.3. you may run into issues if your ram cant boot with 1.8v but seeing that its stock voltage is 1.9v you should be just fine.

congrats on graduating and getting a killer rig!

It will likely NOT have the newest BIOS so I am not sure how that will work. In theory it will see the processor just not ID it correctly. It might have the settings wrong but should run. I would flash ASAP.

That Corsair memory should default to DDR2-800 @ 5-5-5-15 and boot just fine at 1.8V.

Crap, I figured they would have updated the page on that one if they started shipping 3.3. Might have to send it back if it doesn't boot and get the 3.3.

EDIT- just checked my email. Somehow or another newegg will be getting all 4 orders here on the 23rd. Pics to come!

yeah like capper said, it should default to 5-5-5-15 1.8v. you start running into problems when you try to use kits that need 2.2v to run properly
