I'd also recommend this ram: Newegg.com - mushkin 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail, but that's just because I really like mushkin, lol.... but yeah, Looks like a real nice build, both the amd and the intel. I think both of those would be awesome.

Nostalgia? :P

Edit: I second Capper recommendations. Awesome bang for the buck build.

EVGA cards are the best IMO.
You should make a worklog for your build!

I am half tempted to build a mid range entry pc in 2 days just to get on a dual core, this old athlon xp is getting worse and worse every day.

On the contrary to the AMD thing, their dual-cores are dirt cheap (i.e. X2 3800+). It's good for a complete budget rig that you're not doing anything big on.

However, I do like Cap's offered setup.

EDIT: This 2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 kit will save you some money after rebate ($28!).
Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

- Core 2 Quad Q6600
- DFI Infinity 975X
- 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800
- 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM
- ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB
- Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W
- Acer 19" P191W Monitor
- Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution
- Vista Ultimate x64
