Open up your case and check. You have to have SATA ports. BTW, could I get a little more info on the mobo (i.e. model)? - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 Dell Inspiron 5150 - Pentium 4 @ 3.06GHz w/ HT Tech - 512MB PC2700 RAM - 80GB WD Scorpio 5400RPM HD - nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 32MB - XP Pro SP3

It's an Asus Emery motherboard. I just went and downloaded the spec sheet. No mention of the PSU, but I can't add another HD (apparently the case only has room for two external 5.25" drives and 1 internal 3.5" drive ) and the bus is fixed at 800MHz. Looks like its better to completely build a new PC from scratch and leave this one as is .

Oh, I wasn't aware we're talking about a HP PC. Then for sure the FSB is locked... That makes more sense. Yeah, you want to build from scratch. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 Dell Inspiron 5150 - Pentium 4 @ 3.06GHz w/ HT Tech - 512MB PC2700 RAM - 80GB WD Scorpio 5400RPM HD - nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 32MB - XP Pro SP3

Thought so, but I downloaded the spec sheet if anyone's curious. Just ask here in this thread.
