IIRC, the mPGA 478 and the Socket 478 are one in the same, just the mPGA gives a little bit of power savings adjustments, which would allow for a desktop CPU to throttle back through the Bios settings. I don't have the time ATM to research it though. That Northwood CPU should be a very decent overclocker. It didn't run near as hot as the Prescotts do. My HP ZD8000 has a P4 640 3.2Ghz cpu. That sucker runs quite warm, but if the mainboard were to crap out on me, I would get a full sized mainboard and turn it into a desktop. Those 3+ Ghz CPU's are too good to pass up IMHO.
