True enough. I think I should have mentioned that if it came down to purchasing a [more expensive] Voodoo or Falcon Northwest laptop versus a Dell WoW Edition, I would have a hard time choosing Dell considering their disastrous customer service and support.

In any event, for someone that wanted to save a few bucks and were industrious enough, you could build an exact replica of a Voodoo Envy for much less than what Voodoo is asking for. This DIY option would most definitely still spank Dells' WoW Edition notebook solution.

Gaming laptops are pretty dumb in my opinion. They get outdated so fast and have virtually no upgrade path. I totally agree with Loose Cannon on this one. Buy a nice gaming desktop and spend the rest of the money on a budget laptop (if you still need it) or a nice monitor or speaker system.

I'd be willing to bet that the people who will actually pay to have this laptop also have WoW bedsheets, footed pajama's, and a Horde license plate frame on their car. Seriously, this is desperate and shameless marketing at its worst. Oh well, millions of our fellow gamers have brought this upon us. Leave it to DELL to capitalize.

This used to be the case not too long ago. However, with the advent of Asus' C90, you are able to swap out and upgrade just about every component in your laptop.

Heh, the noobs that buy this lappy will set it down on their bed as they go to take a shower. Their house will shortly be consumed in fire ^^. (wishful thinking without the automatic shutdown)

Ridiculous. Blizzard is such a sell out now. I'm losing my respect for them more and more.

Full-blown gaming laptops serve a niche market. They're for people who don't want to build their own SFF PC and instead buy a more compact gaming laptop. The purpose is to get as much power as you possibly can inside a (comparably) very thin enclosure. Honestly, people who buy them get what they pay for; it's not such a bad idea if you put it in a different light.

I have to say that in my mind, WoW is not paired with Blizzard. I detest and loathe WoW, but Blizzard and all of their older games are still great. Lost Vikings, Black Thorne, and Diablo II FTW! IMO it's the public that has blown WoW out of proportion, and I don't really think it's a company's fault for trying to take a little advantage over that. I do, however, have to say that Blizzard has no right to forsake all of their other games and make WoW a priority! I heard a statistic once; it went along the lines of: Blizzard makes approximately 4 million dollars a day off of WoW. Anyone have an opinion on that?
