Oh yeah, forgot about PCI-E 2.0... Thanks for that...

And I didn't know there was a bug in X38... so I guess the bugs are so big that the board makers can't fix them in a BIOS update... hardware-based bug then?

It is mostly based on an issue with speedsetp, I imagine it would be possible to fix it with a BIOS eventually but why waste the time on that when you are pushing for FSB1600. it is easier to launch a chipset running FSB1600 and with the fixes than to dump time and money down a BIOS patch.

Well i guess if you follow that logic we would see a new chipset every week... But I see what your saying.

That is true, then again usually the FSB does not change this quickly

Looking at review os Thermaltake Armor case - one says " AND COLD - assuming you have the right coolant mats."

What is a coolant mat?

How big of a case are you looking for?
The Cosmos 1000 is a sweet case.

I have no idea... I'm pretty sure he mean't something else, maybe thermal paste or something like that.

OK - it's now November 2 and I'm getting a bit anxious. I think I've got my "perfect" system assembled on paper and getting ready to pull the trigger. Any suggestions (buy now, wait a month?). I'd like to get it up and running ideally before Thanksgiving but certainly before Christmas.

I have to ask this,
What do you have on paper now?
