| Colonel Calamity | if you're scared to do something, just leave it as is... you are not likely going to get that video card any faster or any cooler and as long as the cpu fan is blowing towards the back of the case it should be fine. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | I'm Diggin it! | Check out your picture here. I've used a red circle and arrow to point to the brass colored screw on the right side of the fan. There will be another one on the other side. First, disconnect the power cord from your computer, then disconnect the CPU fan wire. Just follow the wires coming off the 9700 itself to find the first connection and disconnect there. Looks like it's going to the 4-pin motherboard header. Then remove the two screws and that's it. ![]() Once you've cleaned it all up and are about ready to reinstall the cooler, follow these directions to the letter. Don't spread it out, don't cover the whole CPU, just do it like the directions show and all will be well. When you connect everything, you will see the 4-pin header and your CPU Cooler is a 3-pin. Just line the 9700's connector up with the tab on the 4-pin mobo header and push it on. You should have one exposed pin to the right of the connector when it's on correctly. Good luck. It's a fairly simple process.
