Stormcrow is correct, you will need to return all parts of the product in order to get a replacement.
I have 4 1 GB sticks or 2 kits. Would I have to return all of those? Or just the dysfunctional one?

Maybe I will make it always leave the fan on.. I think the BIOS controlling the fan kind of scares me too haha.

If you have two kits, then you would only have to send back the one kit with the defective stick. You should test the rest of the sticks though and make sure they are good to go.

On my GeminII, I plug my fans directly into the PSU (via 4-pin Molex), so the "fans not spinning" issue is not a problem for me.

If you do what i did, you will have to disable fan monitoring in the BIOS.

I just changed the bios to manual fan control and set them at 100%.. same thing I'm guessing. However, I can only get 2 sticks of the Wintec Dual Channel kit working. And it's only possible by having them both in the blue memory slots and having nothing in the black slots... instructions say blue is for dual channel? Can I not use my other 2 gig? Also.. is 56C a normal temp for the GPU to be running at? Because I can only get my System Rating to 1.0... and the breakdown is like so:
Processor: 5.9
Memory: 4.5
Graphics: 1.0
Gaming graphics: 1.0
Primary hard disk: 5.6

Why would those be 1.0?

1.0 for a 8800GTS is definetly wrong................

You can only get two sticks of memory working because (from what I have read in previous posts) one of the two sticks of RAM in the second dual channel kit is faulty. You can keep one of the kits' but the one with the faulty one you should return and get a working kit.

It shouldn't have anything to do with the slots you use.

Ok well when I get home for lunch I'll try and move the other working one into the slot next to it and see what happens.

Vista is very picky on Ram on my 680i mobo. If I overclock the Corsair Dominator ram at all, then Vista would frequently error out and die. Once I put different ram in, at stock DDR2-800 settings, Vista was fine with the Ram.

Personally, if you have a Windows XP Pro disk, I would install that and leave Vista alone until a service pack comes out. Vista is too screwy for me to deal with atm.

That temp on your 8800GTS is normal. Mine idles at 54-56. Loaded is around 68.
