| Do i scare u? | I say get a 22" or a 24". 26" is just a little... overkill. I've got a nice Samsung SyncMaster 2220WM (22") and it's beautiful! It has a ton of space, I sit about 35-45" away from it and can read everything crisp and clear. ![]() ![]() |

| aka Mike Honcho | i think you'll get mixed opinions on monitor size. in the end, i would suggest going to your local electronics shop and seeing what monitor size you feel comfortable with and what fits your needs. i've got a 27" that i love. | I'm Evil | You might want to check out some OCZ memory, while I'm a big fan of Crucial's enthusiast offerings, I think OCZ offers a better value and you could either get a 4GB kit or a much better 2GB kit for a comparable price. | socket 939 junkie | you may want to reconsider your choice in operating system. windows xp 64bit was poorly supported upon its release, and im fairly certain that support hasnt gotten much better. you would be better off with vista 64bit as its not going to be dropped by M$ any time soon. also try taking a look at either of THESE kits of ram. they're 2x2gb DDR2 1000. faster speed than what you selected, and will leave you with 2 open slots for up to 8GB of ram later on. plus theyre priced a little less (and you should save on shipping ) other than that, your build looks great ![]() Q6600 @ 3.6ghz (400x9 @ 1.408v) Gigabyte X38-DQ6 2x2GB G-Skill DDR2 1000 @ DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2T 2.1v Visiontek HD4870 Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB Cache HDD Razer Barracuda AC1 Silverstone DA750 Samsung Dual Layer DVD Burner Lian Li G70WB Thermochill PA120.3|Swiftech Storm Rev.2|Swiftech MCP 655 |

Anyway, if it's for the end of March, I would wait until the end of March to start my list. Things change extremely quickly in the computer world, enough that you might want to grab a new quad core instead of a Q6600. Q9XXX series is very close. :) | |
